Course overview

We live in a society which is constantly changing. As adults, teachers, educators, trainers, we need to keep constantly updated, adapt and be able to generate new ideas to solve problems, reduce difficulties or do things more effectively. With this course, the participants work on methodologies to support the change of mindsets into "lateral thinking". We support creative thinking and creative problem solving and the generation of new ideas, through methods which teach our brain to think through new patterns,

Target Groups

Teachers, trainers, youth workers:  adults and individuals interested in developing creating thinking and entrepreneurship.
Educators from primary, secondary education and High schools or technical schools, professors from Higher Education Institutions and trainers from organisations.

Goals/ Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
* Better understand creative thinking and creative problem solving;
* Make use of the methods of creative thinking in educational and organisations formats;
* Better understand entrepreneurship and make use of it in workshops and classes with young people;
* Implement methods of creative thinking in the classrooms and in workshops or training formats.

Methodology of work

The course lasts 5 days, divided into 3 thematic days. The sessions include theory-based approach and practical workshops, based on learning by doing workshops, role playing, case studies, teambuilding exercises,  during which the participants explore the tools; and individual planning activities, to transfer the learning into the professional daily life.

Day 1: Get to know the group and the course

Introduction to the course;
Get to know each other activities;

Get to know our educational institutions/ organisations;

Learning goals and contributions;
Share experiences at professional level;
Exploring creative thinking: development trough times.

Day 2: Introduction to creative thinking

Developing a common understanding of creative thinking;
Creative Thinking in contemprary times;
Creativity and lateral thinking;
The usability of creative thinking;
Methods of creative thinking - short activities.

 

Day 4: Introduction to entrepreneurship

Developing an understanding of entrepreneurship;
Exploring entrepreneurship - challenges and opportunities in school curriculum;

ENTRECOMP: European entrepreneurial model - from creating ideas to action.

Certification provided;
Course materials shared via email.

 

Day 3: Practice creative thinking

Implementing creative thinking methods: Walt Disney Method;
Implementing creative thinking methods: Metaphorical Thinking;
Implementing creative thinking methods: DeBono hats.

Day 5: Closing & cultural exploring

Course evaluation through creative thinking methods;
Formal evaluation;
Certification of the course;
Cultural visit in Poznan (optional).

 

Tuition fee: 5 days course: 480 EUR, individual participants | 430 EUR per participant, when registering a group
The course includes certificates and materials. Cultural visits are optional and not included in the course fee.

The course can be co-funded by the programme Erasmus+. For more information, contact the National Agency in your country.
